At Mountaineer Popcorn, the health and safety of our guests and staff is always our first priority. We follow a daily cleaning schedule to make sure our shop is always clean and safe and our staff always wear gloves when directly handling popcorn. Hand sanitizer is also provided at the front counter for use by our guests.

What if I ordered online, but did not receive an email confirmation?

If you placed an order through our website and don’t have an email confirmation in your inbox, please check your spam folder.

If you’re a frequent popper, add Mountaineer Popcorn to your safe sender list or mark as “not spam” so your email will start recognizing these messages as highly important!

When can I pick up my online order?

Please allow 48 hours for pick up option. If you need it sooner, please call us at 410.937.4612 and we’ll do our best to adjust our timing and have it ready for you ASAP.

Does Mountaineer Popcorn ship locally and nationally?

Yes! We gladly ship throughout the continental United States.

Yes! We love working with our customers on custom creations to make their special event that much yummier. We can customize flavors and colors so that your popcorn will perfectly match any theme. Custom flavors can be purchased in bulk sizing or as individual bags ready to be used as favors. We can even offer custom labels! About the 'Corn

What is the shelf life of your popcorn?

Our popcorn has an eight week shelf life when sealed. All popcorn is sealed and shipped, so it makes the perfect gift!

Do you use peanut oil?

No, all of our popcorn is popped in 100% coconut oil! However, we do handle and process peanuts and tree nuts in our shop. Although we take every measure to ensure that our equipment is clean, we cannot guarantee that no cross-contamination has occurred. Please use your own discretion when consuming our delicious product.

Where are your popcorn kernels grown? Are they genetically-modified (GMO)?

Our non-GMO kernels are grown on our farm in Shepherdstown, WV! It doesn’t get any more local than this!

What kind of popcorn kernels do you use?

We use two different types of kernels: yellow and mushroom kernels. Each kernel type is uniquely suited for specific popcorn flavors. For example, yellow kernels are perfect for savory flavors because the nooks and crannies allow the seasonings we add to grab on to each individual kernel. Mushroom kernels are perfect for caramel corn and other hard shell flavors, because the round shape of mushroom kernels hold up well to the weight of our decadent caramel coating.

Where is your popcorn made?

Every single bag of Mountaineer Popcorn is popped, flavored, and packaged at our shops in historic downtown Shepherdstown, WV and Martinsburg, WV.

What is your most popular flavor?

Currently, our best-selling flavor was Buffalo Cheddar! Other fan-favorites include White Cheddar, Caramel, and Kettle corn!

Are all of your popcorn flavors available throughout the year?

Our flavors rotate on a weekly basis but we are happy to accommodate your bulk order with other requested flavors. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to know what we are popping each week!

How do you come up with your flavors?

We take inspiration from all over! Our recipes are collaborative efforts that require much trial and error to get just right. We even take suggestions from our awesome customers! Have an idea for a new flavor? Feel free to reach out to us via Facebook or stop by our shop to share your idea in person!

Best popcorn ever! I’m an out of towner from Ga whom ordered a 5 gallon bag of kettle corn popcorn for a event to make party favors that wasnt needed until a week later. Mmmm mmm MMM! I stopped in to Hoot and Howl in Morgantown yesterday and picked up a bag of the Dill Pickle and Chesapeake popcorn. Lets just say I have NO idea where the whole bag of Dill Pickle and half of the bag of the Chesapeake went... Its definitely not all in my tummy.... especially since I only bought it yesterday... SOOO good! I'll definitely be back for more!

I wish there was a “love” button to push for this business!!! I might seriously have a problem... I visit weekly to get new flavors! My cousin and I are also small business owners and we love supporting our local community! (We also might be addicted to their popcorn!) We bought a tin and get it refilled all of the time! We haven’t brought home a flavor that’s lasted for more than a few days! It’s perfect for gifts as well! I love that you can sample any flavor before you buy it!

The popcorn is delicious! So many different flavors. No matter what you're in the mood for - they're bound to have something for your craving! I love the Red Velvet and peanut butter cup for sweet popcorn. The buffalo cheddar and dill pickle are my favorites for savory. They even do custom flavors for corporate events, birthday parties, weddings, etc. HIGHLY recommend Mountaineer Popcorn. Best part about them, they ship nationwide!
